General Information About Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal - Crown of Palaces is one of the Seven Wonders of the World is one of the sought after World Heritage site situated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan - 1653, in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is synonymous of love and romance. White marble, the exquisite ornamentation, precious and semi precious gemstones used in the Taj and its picturesque location and the popularity among the whole world makes a building a must visit. 06:00 Hrs :In the morning we will pick you up from the hotel to leave to Agra and you can have have your breakfast on the way or you request your hotel people they will pack your breakfast of the day. Then drive to Agra (200 kms / 3 hrs). On arrival our guide will take you Taj city.

Taj Mahal :It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1653. The Taj Mahal is synonymous to love and romance. It was completed in 21 years with the help of a 20,000 labor workers. Later we will go for lunch at a Restaurant.

Agra Fort (optional) : A museum of interesting buildings, built by Akbar. Construction of the building gra Fort started in 1565 and completed in 1573.

Itimad Ud Daulah (optional visit) : efore the Taj Mahal was built, it’s design was already standing in the form of Itmad Ud Daulah's Tomb. This mausoleum keeping a body of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the father of the Mughal Empress Noor Jahan. In the evening we continue our drive to Delhi.
