Cambodia Tour - 05 Nights / 06 Days

Day 01 : Arrival & Tour (D)

You will be welcomed and greeted by our professional tour guide at Siem Reap airport and transfer to hotel (The room maybe not yet ready until afternoon). After check in, we take short walk along the road in front of the King's Residence to see the Main Shrine, where the local people usually worship, with its statue of Yeay Teap, Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chorm. Buying jasmine and lotus flowers to worship is very important for the Cambodians. We will also visit Artisans D'Angkor where young Cambodian are trained to learn how to do carving before visiting one of the city's lively open market, Psar Chars, also called the "Old Market", where anything and everything is for sale! Tonight we will enjoy buffet dinner with Apsara dance performance at a local restaurant. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 02 : Angkor Wat (B,L,D)

After breakfast at hotel, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond. We continue to the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. We will end our day discovering Ta Prohm, one of the area's most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Late afternoon, you will enjoy Remork ride (commonly called Tuktuk) around the city and you will have a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monk for the prosperity, happiness and safety for your trip. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 03 : Siem Reap - Battambang (BL,D) by public boat

Breakfast at hotel. You will transfer to boat pier to board the public boat to the sleepy town of Battambang. You will enjoy the unspoiled scenery of Tonle Sap Lake - the biggest freshwater lake in SE Asia. Once arriving in Battambang boat pier, transfer to hotel to check in. Afternoon, we drive to visit Ek Phnom Temple which is an 11th century Angkorian-era ruin built as a Hindu temple under Suryavarman I. On the way, we stop at the village where local produce rice paper. We continue to Phsar Prohok, the fish past market where you won’t get used to the smell in the first 10 seconds. Continue along the river to through villages to see how people steam-sticky rice cooked in bamboo. Return to hotel and free at your own leisure. Overnight in Battambang.

Day 04 : Battambang (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hote, we drive to the village of Ksach Puoy on the banks of the Sangker River. As well as being home to many well preserved traditional Khmer wooden stilted homes, this area grows a variety of tropical fruits and after the rainy season farmers plant all kinds of vegetables along the fertile river banks, here you can learn about traditional agriculture - Phnom Banan, Battambang also a great opportunity to taste juicy oranges, sweet pineapples, and many other fruit... Not far from Ksach Puoy is Cambodia's first vineyard - Prasat Phnom Banan Vineyard - you can pop in if you like, learn about producing wine in the tropics and of course enjoy a spot of wine tasting! A few kilometers further south you arrive at the well preserved 11th century mountaintop Angkorian temple of Phnom Banan. After climbing the 350+ steps you are treated to a wonderfully peaceful setting with superb views across the surrounding countryside. We end our day tour by visiting bamboo train village with great experiences of sliding on this funny train. Overnight in Battambang Overnight at the hotel in Battambang.

Day 05 : Battambang - Phnom Penh (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel: Drive to Phnom Penh. Our driving from Battambang to Phnom Penh will take around 5 hours. We will arrive in Phnom Penh around noon time. Lunch at local restaurant in Phnom Penh. The same afternoon, we will start our visit to visit Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha and Wat Phnom Phnom Penh's namesake, from where you can enjoy views over the tree-lined avenues of Phnom Penh during sunset. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 06 : Phnom Penh & departure (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel: today we continue to explore the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia's bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek, commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle. Then we discover Phnom Penh’s Psar Toul Tom Pong, known as the Russian Market, a great place to hunt for souvenirs, curios, and silks before transferring to airport for your departure flight.
